Contemplation in the Sacrament of reconcilation

During this morning's homily Father Martin was talking about the beauty of the prayer "the our Father..."

He said a servant...or a student knows his Master by what He teaches, does and says. They also know their master by what He eats apparently...I can't remember a lot but then father Martin mentioned that amongst all the things Jesus taught them how to pray.

I remember someone taught me the meaning of each line of the "our Father" the first two lines expresses our adoration to God and also our pledge and love to God. We are also agreeing that there is NO OTHER GOD THAN YAHWEH SABAOTH.  Then there is meaning to "Thy Kingdom come...Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven..." I forgot what that meant...

but there is also great meaning to saying the "Hail Mary.." 

I am contemplating over the beauty of penance after confession as well as the awesome grace of absolution....

The Hail Mary also has great meaning in it...I pray in due time, perhaps with the aid of the Holy Spirit, I may learn the meaning and beauty of the prayer...maybe I'll discuss it with someone sometime.

I was struggling emotionally tonight and God conquered it for me and won peace for me again. Alleluia. For God is my strength, fortitude and hope. Amen.


I was so happy today. I feel so very loved. Indeed I do. I was talking to a friend outside the church office. I had assumed that my counselor had gone off to the soup kitchen for lunch. BUT he was waiting for me. He poked his head in and said "Hey, Barb! You coming or what...?"

and I tell you I've never felt so happy and loved in all my life...aside from being loved by Jesus Christ our Lord and God.
