Literature Text

I'm just a little too small
to climb over the wall
oh the foundation is tall
I cannot climb over...
I just can't climb over

Here I am with a shield and a blade
so much for a person
of such disposition
with a small shield and a blade

What was expected I know
A warrior of a much greater bestowed
here I am alone
I am a pebble facing rocks made of stones
I cannot do it alone
Not on my own
not on my own

It's been two days and I've been here the same way
Nothing has changed
not the least
I've come oh I've come from the east
I'm not the kind who'd slay a beast

They say something in there is really big
what do I say
as I gaze at the wall

There be the Blessed of them all
The Written Word
Breath of the morning sun
Beacon of light
Word made Flesh

An unexpected turn of events
As the path paved a way
for Heaven's descent
Flesh of the Word
Word of God
Came walking along

The ground withheld grudges in marks
wielded by my rusted sword in circling passing
around the great wall of something
The walls won't shake
Why don't they shake?
Seven times Seven He says
Walk round it seven times seven
And raise up the trumpet over your head
I said "over my head?"
He nodded "That's what I said."

Blow it seven times seven
and find the walls break down
crumble to the ground
just stand your ground
Let your trumpet sound
Don't stand down
Just stand your ground

I went right round the wall
so tall
Seven times seven as He told me
Don't be afraid ...
Seven times seven...
in your faith
Don't hesitate

The walls done break
and the sounds did shake
crumbling down
to the ground
I hear the sound
of defeat all around

The walls came down
to the ground
with just sound
All around
I didn't have my sword and my shield
I took in its place a trumpet small in appeal
It's not much but it holds such a stronghold
as you can see
None of it me
But God Who sets people free

I may be small
but on God's shoulders I stand tall
I may trip and stumble but I will not fall
and lay down for long
I shall rise up and sing
a victory song

So what if the wall is too tall
the foundation is small
weak and all in all
With God I will shake the walls
tumbling down
to the ground

I am no longer small
I stand so tall
with God I shall shake the walls
crumble it down
touching the ground
casting it crown
to the Sovereign God
Who is King of all Kings
God above all...
who makes crumbles empires and
yes- tall towering walls

Beautiful. You should make a song out of this. It's just begging for trumpets.
